 It's that time of year again to renew registrations. Annual dues are due by Monday, November 16. Dues are as follows:
- $50 annually for first scout in a family
- $40 annually for each additional scout in a family
- $15 annually for adult leaders
Please make checks payable to Troop 228 and send in with your scout no later than Monday, November 16. You may also mail the check to Mary Ann Bovee, 21 Molland Dr, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.
In the 2008-2009 scout year, Troop 228 expenditures totaled $4,625 in support of 21 scouts ... $220 per-scout. The portion of dues kept by the troop is very small ($372 out of $1100 last year) ... the majority goes to BSA (national, council, and Boy's Life magazine). Costs to the troop include:
- BSA charter and insurance fees
- Insurance
- Awards (pins, patches, etc.)
- Equipment (tents, cooking supplies, etc.)
- Pantry items for camping trips
- Supplies for activities
